When you think about flatbread, you imagine too many calories and too many carbohydrates. Indeed, it is difficult to create a meal that is nutritious that is lo-cal, but it is possible. Once you learn how to choose the right combination of the ingredients, you will be able to enjoy delicious dishes. These three flatbread recipes can be prepared easily and quickly.
- Flatbread veggies. You already know that vegetables are necessary for a healthy diet, so why not combine them with flatbread for a tasty meal? You can add any chopped vegetables you prefer – tomatoes, olives, green onions, lettuce, sprouts, and/or mushrooms. Top with a lo-cal dressing or add a spoonful of tomatoes sauce and some vegetarian cheese.

- Breakfast Flatbread. Many people like to have an omelet for breakfast, and this can be placed on a flatbread instead of serving it with toast. For some extra iron and vitamins, you can add some spinach, shredded cheese, mushrooms, and onions to the omelet while it is cooking. If you like a little spice, add a spoonful of salsa. Children like this choice because, once the flatbread is rolled, it is easy to for them to handle.
